Wilma's Partners in Ministry
Chile, South America
Wilma
is involved in ministry to inmates in a prison for women, and
in the operation of a Mercy School. Over the past year she has
been training others to take over the prison ministry, and is
now focusing on training more "mercy ministers" at
the Mercy School associated with the Ruhama House. According
to Wilma, "the School provides an understanding of the elements
needed in any work of mercy, by discipling the heart and character
of the students and staff."
Gutierrez, Gerry and Ruth
Mission to the World (PCA)
Peru, South America
Gerry
was born in Peru, and Ruth was born in South Carolina but grew
up in Peru. Gerry received his M.Div. degree from Covenant Theological
Seminary (PCA) and was ordained in 1984. The Gutierrezes earlier
worked for MTW in Las Condes, Chile, as church planters and evangelists,
and now work in Huanta, Peru, with MTW?s Project Nehemiah. They
are helping Quechua children orphaned as a result of the terrorist
activities of The Shining Path. Gerry is also involved in coordinating
the presidential prayer breakfasts throughout Latin America.
Their children are Keila, Lois, Nathaniel, Ben Jediah, and Caleb.
Karl, Earl
Good News Jail and Prison Ministry
Arlington, Virginia
Good
News Jail and Prison Ministry provides chaplains to America's
jails and prisons. As part of this ministry, Earl preaches, teaches,
and ministers in the Arlington County Detention Facility, evangelizing
among the inmates and helping them seek salvation through Jesus
Christ. He conducts Bible studies, encourages inmates, counsels
with their families, preaches the Gospel to them, and makes arrangements
to help them with their physical needs.
Mar, Doreen Hung
Mission to the World (PCA)

Doreen
is an Emergency Medicine Physician who leads or participates
in many short-term medical missions teams to countries primarily
in Asia, Africa, and South America on behalf of Mission to the
World (PCA). She recruits team members, obtains needed medicines
and supplies, coordinates with the MTW office or with foreign
nationals in planning and carrying out medical missions trips.
These teams assist and enhance the local church or field missionary
programs in church planting, community outreach, and evangelism.
The teams are geared to present the Gospel to the patients and
families they serve. She also engages in ancillary evangelistic
activities that present the Gospel to them, through bracelets,
balloons, story books, and other accessories.

Rodney and Cortina
Campus Crusade for Christ
Zimbabwe, Africa
After organizing and serving as first Executive Director of the Africa Leadership and Management Academy (ALMA), in Harare, Zimbabwe, on the continent of Africa, Rodney and Cortina are now serving in the United States while their Ariel and Bradley attend college. ALMA's mission is to build "multiplying leaders" of
integrity who will spearhead the spiritual and economic transformation
of Africa and the world for Jesus Christ.
Ruiz, Adelmo and Edelmira
Wycliffe Bible Translators
Dallas, Texas
Adelmo
and Edelmira are from Colombia, where they travel to teach the
Missions Dynamic Program and to encourage the growing churches
there. They are currently assigned to the Wycliffe office in
Dallas, Texas. Adelmo has recently been teaching the Perspectives
Program, developed by the U.S. Center for World Missions, in
Pasadena, CA. They have just returned to the U.S. following a
6-month furlough in Colombia.
Ulfers, Bob and Yezmin
Wycliffe Bible Translators
Cameroon, Africa
Bob and Yezmin have been working on translation of the Gospel into the Karang
language. Bob has visited a number of Massai villages to test the most recent
draft of the Karang Gospel. The entire family is fluent in Karang. The Ulfers
are currently touring the U.S. to raise support for their work, and are temporarily
residing in Blacksburg, VA. They plan to complete their fundraising and return
to Cameroon in May, 2006. Their children are Joe (10/84), Hannah (1/87), and
Bina (10/89).
Wallace, Brad and Margarita
World Harvest Mission
Chile, South America
Brad,
a former construction supervisor, and Margarita are involved
in evangelism in San Pedro, Chile, resulting in the founding
of a new church congregation. Brad is also involved in the development
of a nation-wide ministry of church-construction evangelism.
The Wallaces conduct family life seminars, and children and youth
ministries. Brad preaches and disciples new converts, and oversees
church construction. They have three children: Joshua, Keila,
and Michael.
Wroughton, Jim [Jr.] and Ellen
Mission to the World (PCA)
Peru, South America
Jim,
the son of Jim Sr. and Gloria Wroughton, was born in Peru into
the Wycliffe Bible Translators ministry of his parents. He speaks
fluent Spanish, has a M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell Seminary, and
is an ordained PCA minister. Jim and Ellen have now completed
four terms as Bible translators and literacy workers among the
Quechua Indians of the Peruvian Andes. They presented their translation
of the New Testament for the North Conchucos to the Quechua people
in 2002, and are now working on translation of the Old Testament.
They have two children, Katherine (8/85) and Elizabeth (8/87).
